Gianluca Geremia
Theorbo
Gianluca Geremia began studying the lute at the SMAV (Scuola di Musica Antica di Venezia) under the guidance of Maestro Massimo Lonardi. In 2014 he graduated in Renaissance lute with honors at the Conservatory "Benedetto Marcello" in Venice and graduated with honours in theorbo at the same institute with honours under the guidance of Maestro Tiziano Bagnati. He attended courses in contemporary composition and Renaissance composition and counterpoint at the Conservatory of Venice with M° Riccardo Vaglini and M° Marco Gemmani respectively.
He is part of the ensemble La Vaghezza with which he won the first prize of the international competition "Maurizio Pratola" (L'Aquila, 2016) and the first prize, public prize and Barenraiter prize of the "Handel Competition" (Göttingen, 2018). Currently the group is ensemble in residence at the European project Eeemerging.
He has collaborated and collaborates with several ensembles including: "Modo Antiquo", "Il Pomo d'Oro", "Les Musiciens du Louvre", "Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia", "Orchestra del teatro La Fenice", "Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Rai", "Mare Nostrum", "I solisti della Cappella Marciana", "Venice Baroque Orchestra".
